Starting around midnight tonight and running through midnight tomorrow night, Counting Down will again be free for digital download on Amazon. If you grab a copy, and dig it, be sure to leave a review to help it move up the ranks in Amazon's Kindle store.
As always, I love hearing from you guys and welcome all your emails. I've already touched base with some great people who never fail to give my motivation to write a bit of a boost.
Thanks to everyone who has read, reviewed, and enjoyed. It's already been a lovely experience and I can't wait to see what happens next.

So it's uber late (for me these days) and I'm taking the opportunity to get some writing done. In Shadow (the sequel to Counting Down) is coming along nicely and the characters are as alive as ever. I can't wait to tell you what Alex is up to. He even opens the first chapter. Sam and Jake now have a last name and we get to find out a lot more about the rest of the supporting characters as the story develops. There are even a few new additions, namely the woman and her son that are mentioned in the later chapters of Counting Down.
And if you're at all curious about the image above, then I'm guessing you haven't had a chance to read the first book in the Eternal World Series. I think this Abby-ism would make a kick ass tee shirt. But maybe I'm biased. Either way, it's fun to play around with - even if the picture's a little less than stellar.

So Counting Down hit #1 on the free side of its category last night. At one point there were over 400 copies an hour being downloaded. I was getting fan mail, followers, likes, etc. The sudden excitement was amazing.
However, this morning it's back in the vast and dusty depths of Amazon's paid Kindle books - floating somewhere in the high 100s in Fantasy, Futuristic, and Ghost Romance. Which I realize is pretty freaking awesome, considering there are over 6500 books in that category. Still, compared to yesterday's craziness, I feel like it may as well be on the moon.
I guess I'm a little deflated now after the big promo rush and I suppose I got overly hopeful. (Delusions of grandeur anyone?) Last night I was dreaming of waking to see that the book was among the coveted paid top 100. Then again almost 7,000 people now have copies of Counting Down. That alone is pretty cool. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. Like Abby, I'm not letting my tiny ember of a wish burn out any time soon.

This Saturday only (which is sort of today) you can get your very own digital copy of Counting Down. For free! All day long! (Like right now.)
Go to Amazon as fast as you can. Click. Click it right now! It's only one day, after all. Remember, you don't need a Kindle. You can download Kindle for PC, Kindle for iPod, iPad, iPhone, etc. And you should. There are some amazing indie authors on Amazon whose worlds are totally worth getting immersed in.
Download it, cuddle it, read it, love it. And be sure to leave a review if you're feeling extra motivated.
